Deputy Chief Tony Logan heads the operations division of the Shelbyville Fire Department. The Battalion Chiefs and Captains are charged with the day to day running of the Operations Division. Our operations division is responsible for the staffing and scheduling of our firefighters. On a daily basis, Battalion Chiefs are in charge of our shifts. In their absence, our Captains oversee the shifts.

The operations division oversees the administration of our service delivery. They are responsible for fire suppression activities, vehicle extrication activities, and tactical rescue team activities. They also work in conjunction with the EMS Division to ensure adequate medical resources and skills are being utilized on a daily basis. The Operations Division works with the Training Division to schedule and coordinate all training activities.
